Within the term of Dénia, on the southern slope of the mount Montgó, we find Jesús Pobre, a town constituted as a Minor Local Entity in May 1999.

The town has approximately 800 inhabitants and is located 10 km from the town of Dénia.

Its landscape is marked by its proximity to the Montgó Natural Park, with typical country houses and traditional dry crops (vineyards, almond trees, olive groves, etc.) and irrigated citrus groves.
